    State of the game?

Is it as crazy as it appears to me?

In the past two weeks I've read that each of the top 4 clubs are going through a crisis, and seen teams move from favourites to struggling for top 4 in the space of two games.

Wednesday evening Man Utd were many a would be pundits favourites for the title. By Wednesday night they had no chance due to having no Ronaldo and the much hyped wonder signing Michael Owen was a foolish buy.

Prior to the Everton game Arsenal were seen as no hopers and guaranteed to finish out the top 4 unless they made some solid buys. One win later and they're title challengers again.

After Liverpool beat Chelsea last year for the second time in the league, I read that they needed to make some massive signings this summer or they would finish third at best. Now I see they're the favourites.

We all know the already up and down start to the season for LFC........

I switched on the box today and started watching SSN. What did I see? The presenters talking about how Tottenham were top of the pile, fans being interviewed about how high they can go and a shirt being printed in the club shop with TOP 4 on it.

**** me........... Two wins and Spurs are being touted as table toppers and pace setters. Is it only me that remembers the days when there was no league table in the papers until after five games or so? I also watched MOTD last night and Liverpools title challenge is now back on and once more big references to Spurs being top of the pile as a commentator cried about Spurs hitting the summit.

Seriously, what is going on? Are there prizes being handed out after a few games now? I mean, Liverpool shooting up into fourth and stating their intentions is going a bit far now isn't it?

Is it only me that finds all the calls of doom and impending success so bizarre at this stage in a season?

Modern times. People are a very fickle bunch.

It is quite bizarre in a way, but also totally expected. If that makes sense.

True. Maybe daft would have been a better choice of word than bizarre.

The internet means everyone can be a pundit/critic. Unfortunately most of those opinions are based upon utter ****.
