Quite pleased with the result. United look poor and if we repeat our escapades of last year we'll come above them. Arsenal look the most dangerous, but I think that defeat may knock their confidence slightly so that may draw them.

We are now 6 points of Spurs and Chavs, City 100% so far too, whilst Gunners and Mancs are only 3 points up on us. I'm pretty confident that we can not get any worse than we have been and that we will improve as the season goes on. Then we have to make sure we risk draws for maximum points.

I cannot believe Redknapp and Gray are prasing Rooney for diving.

It's as clear as you like. Watch Rooney's left foot as he runs towards Almunia - he bends his leg, scrapes his toes along the ground, and by the time he reaches Almunia he's going down. Cheating cunt. Predictable, yes, and we've seen that type of thing all the time...with keepers coming charging out, but it doesn't make him less of a cheat.

Almunia fouled Rooney, despite him going to ground easy. He mistimed his rush out and collided into Rooney. Had Rooney stayed up he would not have got a penalty, despite the foul.

In mid week Eduardo went down without any contact, though he did dive more than likely anticapating contact from Boruc. Rooney got it right, Eduardo didn't.

Look at it like incidents where players try and swap jerseys in the area. Should all be a penalty by the letter of the law, but are rarely given. Going down with minimum contact is seen as an acceptable part of the game.

I agree it's ****. But it is accepted so that players can avoid serious injury through contact.

If Torres was attacking the goal and dived out of the way of a ludicrous challenge, meaning only minimum contact he should still get a pen. He should not have to be hacked to pieces to get the foul.

It is annoying that a player has to go to ground to get the foul, but that is how it is. If a player stays on his feet he doesn't get the foul.

More annoying is when there would not be contact, but an attacker moves his leg towards the challenge so there is contact.
