No clue as to who'll win the title. Nobody has impressed me, Chelsea imploding is, in my opinion, just a matter of time.

It's still ours to lose in my opinion.

No clue who's going down either, there are about eight teams as **** as each other and could easily go down. Every time I watch one of them play, I think: "Oh, they don't have a hope, do they", but then I remember the other seven are just as crap.

City look absolutely dreadful but have won every game and kept clean sheets in all somehow.

Then again thats what happens when you play Blackburn, Wolves and Portsmouth.

City will struggle against the big 4

The officials in the City-Pompey game have been awful

Not sure why people think Chelsea will 'implode'

And only a biased Red could possibly call it 'ours to lose' after seeing our woeful attempts to defend set pieces so far.

I think it might have something to do with the scolari effect.

IIRC, They went on a great run of 9-10 games unbeaten. Then faced us, we showed the rest of the prem how to stop them playing. They had a mini-crisis, title chance was gone.

Because their manager is overrated and their system will get torn to shreds against a decent side.

But on a positive note, it's been our only problem this season and it's not going to continue in this ridiculous capacity.

Yeah but what impact does Scolari have on Chelsea this season?

Clutching at straws IMO. They've won 4 games which you'd expect them to win, and they're obviously not going to win every game, but 'implode' is a strange word to use. They're still the favourites, for me. And the bookies.

Why will it get torn to shreds?

It's not our only problem at all. We still look out of ideas when facing a well drilled and organised defence. We struggle to create chances when teams put men behind the ball.

                      1. Any team with decent wide men is going to stretch that midfield apart or pin down their full backs which means Chelsea have no width.

                      2. Lampard is far easier to stop when he's got two strikers in front of him and more defensive responsibilities as a result.

                      3. Deco is the one of the easiest players to take out of the game and they have no genuine creativity besides him.

And yet we've scored in every game we've played and would have won every game if it wasn't for set pieces. Only game we didn't dominate was Spurs away, and that's going to be tough for any side.

So no narrow or diamond formation can be successful then?

Only managed one against Villa at Anfield, which was visibly painful to watch.

Arguable as to whether we'd have scored an equaliser yesterday had they kept 11 men.

If you're arguing that we dont struggle to create chances when teams park the bus, then i think you're watching games with your eyes closed.

Not in the Premier League. In Serie A, they rarely ever play with wingers, which are the bane of a narrow four in midfield.

To be honest though, had we scored one of our early chances it would have been a thrashing. The fact they took the lead from two freak set pieces goals helped them concentrate on defending and hitting us on the counter.

Again, wouldn't have been a problem if we defended set pieces like we should.

They're seriously jammy cunts and i'm not just saying that because i hate them more than anything. I'm still sitting here wondering how they won.
I just couldn't see it happening.
This has been proven over the last 15 years. Unbelievable, they must have a pact with the devil to get so much luck.

Something about the current united side reminds me of us under Houllier - obsessed with getting it quickly to the one or two danger players, long balls from deep and over reliance on counter attacks. i imagine they will grow over the season but I don't think they will win the league without a change in policy and/or personnel.

I think Chelsea will do well as they have a lot of good midfielders with passing range and if they want they can effectively go to a plan B of hoofing it to Drogba/Anelka and still terrify teams with wingers. They look the most solid team/squad and this season I think that will be enough.

I think by the end of the season Arsenal will be a truly exceptional side.

Important win for Everton. Be interesting to see if they can start putting performances together now as they have looked stale and dispirited until now.

Bloody Spurs and Citeh keep winning. Still not getting the feeling they are great sides though.
