    Barca sign £22m Chygrynskiy

    Know nothing about him...

Ukrainian international Dmytro Chygrynskiy has arrived in Barcelona to undergo a medical ahead of completing a £22m move from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 22-year-old defender has agreed a five-year deal and will be officially presented by the club on Monday.

Chygrynskiy played has last game for Shakhtar on Friday, when they lost 1-0 to Barcelona in the European Super Cup.

He joins former Inter Milan pair Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maxwell as new summer arrivals at the Nou Camp.

Chygrynskiy arrives with a burgeoning reputation, having won 19 caps for his country.

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has been keen to strengthen his squad in the summer, despite them having won the Spanish League and Cup and Champions League last season - his first season in charge.

He was very impressive for Shaktar last season and the main reason for their great defensive record. Also had another great game against Barca on Friday, keeping their front 3 quiet for 115 mins.

            Lot of money though

Barcelona president Joan Laporta admits the European champions' pursuit of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is a 'special' case.

Fabregas came through the youth system at Barcelona before leaving the Catalan giants to join Arsenal as a 16-year-old six years ago.

He has gone on to establish himself as one of world football's best midfielders, but has regularly been linked with a return to Spain.

Real Madrid have previously shown an interest, while Barca have made no secret of their wish to see the 22-year-old come back to Camp Nou.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently criticised the political nature of Spanish clubs and believes it can have a destabilising effect on players.

Laporta has apologised if Wenger has been upset by Barca's interest, but explained why he is so keen to see Fabregas return to the club.

"I apologise if I bothered Mr Wenger, because I respect him very highly and the job he is doing," said Laporta..

"But he knows perfectly that the case of Cesc Fabregas is special.

"He is a Catalan player from our youth team and it is not a secret that we love this player."

By special case he means that Wenger poached him from the Barcelona youth team and Barca have every right to play dirty to get him back

That's due to the fact that Shaktar is a very rich club..

                          Quality player.

Barca had two weaknesses last year, no plan B and a weak defence. Chygrynskiy solves the problems at the back. Bacra are hoping Ibrahimovic solves the problems at the other end.

For all Barcas pretty football they struggled to break down teams who were solid at the back and Ibra gives them another option. If he's a hit Barca will be even better this year.
