I watched the game and i agree he looked very good at holding the ball up. MOTM too.

He's held in very high regard and was in the England U20 squad in the summer tournament.

Guthries goal was a cracker too in that game, skinned Jack Hobbs and lashed it in.

He had a good game but I couldnt help notice that his lack of pace meant he HAD to hold the ball up everytime rather than beat the defender

Yeah, Nile Ranger, good mate of mine is a Geordie season ticket holder (epic lolz, but anyway), he's been raving about him since the day they signed him, and not in the usual utterlydeluded way too, the lad really does seem to have a lot of attributes. He'll get quite a few games there this season.
