I'm pleased he's doing well too, but more pissed off he didn't do it for us

        it is very frustrating alright.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

What is there to discuss? Good luck to him - no matter how many goals he scores for Valencia, it doesn't change the fact that he was not suited to the English game. We always knew he was a class player, even when he was crap for us.

We've now had about numerous threads about him already this season - is this going to happen after every goal he scores??

And why in the LFC forum?

It just breaks my heart, Grouch.

I want him to be a success at Valencia but every goal is like a kick in the balls. I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited about a new signing as I was when we signed Morientes. What a let down.

I just don't think he was a good fit with the system we played or the pace of the EPL. Great to see him doing well though!

He never had the cojones for the premiership, i'm afraid.

Didn't he admit as much earlier in the season?
