Since when was Masch the argentinian captain? is he stepping in for someone? He has a lot of assets but is nowhere near mature enough to be a captain, IMO

Since Maradona was boss, or maybe before.

Great game that was. But it goes to show how important set pieces are in modern day football, even at the highest level with playmakers like Messi and Kaka on show.

Argentina just could not cope at set pieces, conceding two and would have been three but for a great save by the keeper. Argentina dominated the whole game yet lose out to a team who just sat back and defended and occasionaly went on the counter attack.

3-1 to Brazil the final result. After the two set piece goals for Brazil their was a rocket of a shot to get Argentina back in the game, only for three minutes later to be caught short at the back after a quick break by Brazil.

Kaka looks to be back to his best. He ran the show for Brazil. He definitely won the duel with Masch today. The pass for the third goal

I see that capello is not happy with his defence.
And that glen johnson is 1 of the players
Who is being labelled as a weak link.
                  I knew that would happen
He needs 2 work on his defensive duties.
Like I said in another thread, possibly his own thread.
He might be found out against the better teams of the premiership.

.. was deflected. Without the deflection the keeper would have got it.

the lack of a real defensive midfielder does not help either

Maradona is a plank. When he walked into the job he should have known the defence was the biggest problem and it should have been his priority. He has yet to get even close to fixing it.

In attack he's is using 2 midgets upfront. Everybody can see that Messi and Tevez need a central striker to play off and yet he Maradona always leaves Lisandro Lopez and Aguero out the team. Lopez would have been the ideal centre forward to play with Messi and Tevez wide.

Why oh why do the argies persist with Diego Milito and Cruz when he's fit? Both are clearly not up to the job and never have been

Brazil- Credit to Dunga. He has stuck to his guns and refused to change the style when pressured to do so and its paying off for him

Fabio Capello has labelled Glen Johnson as one of the best right backs in Europe.
The England Head Coach has been suitably impressed with Liverpool’s number two and has totally refuted concerns about his defensive capabilities.

Capello said: "We haven't got a lot of right-backs, but for me Johnson is one of the best right-backs in the world. This is my opinion.

"I really think that. I'm happy with Johnson.

"He's one of the best right-backs in the world. He is, sure, not just coming forward but also his defending."

Asked was he worried about the threat that will be posed on Wednesday night by Croatia's Nico Kranjcar down the left flank, Capello replied: "No, I'm not worried. I think it will be Kranjcar who will be worried about Johnson."

                              Worried about Kranjcar? LOL

England will win that game no problem

I really don't know where people get the idea that Kranjcar is such a great player from. He is decent and very dangerous on his day but he makes terrible decisions, shoots too often and is quite inconsistent.
