    Arsene Wenger you Knob

His Excuse re:the Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere incident yesterday:

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claimed he missed the incident and said: "My eyes aren't great and my ears are worse."

Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo said: "There was an exchange of words and Thomas reacted. He reacted to what was said, something insulting."

Gifted young players at Arsenal but seem to have an arrogance about them which could easily put seasoned pro's noses out of joint.

Im confused. What did whilshire do? All I saw was Jerome Thomas thumping him when he was down?

If something was said do you really expect Wenger to have heard it from the bench?

        Thats true.

Bottom line is Wenger will always find a way to back his players. Can't argue with that if you are a Gooner.

Liverpool managers have come up with some gems in the past too.

Houllier said: "It was just a joke. It was a goal celebration that Metz do, and Rigobert did it in training with us, and the players thought it was funny.

"The Metz players get into a line and make it look like they are eating grass. I can show you videos of it.

"I explained it to the referee and he has said he won't be including it in his report.

"I can understand what people may feel, and it was very unfortunate. But it was not a response to the taunting he has had to cope with."
"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

Read that in fowler's autobiography, apparently all of the liverpool players and the media were putting their fists in their mouths to stop laughing, and houllier was there straight faced
