If it was me, with that money - i'd employ a security team i trusted.

ie - i have a best mate who has been a Marine for 10 years and now works in the intel gathering details on the taliban.

I'd employ him to set up a security team to look after my property.

Problem with guard dogs (and I assume guard hippos) are they can easily get knocked out if the burgler sprays something through the letterbox- can't remember what it was, possibly wd40... So if anyones serious you better get a gas mask made for your hippo.
