I often wondered why we only gave Bellamy one season (beside the obvious golf related reasons). I don't think he got a fair chance here.

I think Rafa used Bellamy in a different way to what he'd been used to and it just didn't suit him. He served a purpose all the same in making us more of a unit in attack (Cisse, despite his success against tiring teams as a sub, was too headless) until we found a more long term solution. I'd rather we had him now than not, obviously, but ultimately we got decent money for him and made good use of it so I can't complain one bit.
