Possibly due to police charges from the Amdy Faye deal while he was at Portsmouth.

There was a report on 5Live last night where the recent Benitez rumours were mentioned. The suggestion was that it was a criminal attempt to fix the odds: start a dodgy rumour and bring in all the suckers from the internet to put money on him leaving, so causing the odds on him staying to lengthen substantially. It was also suggested the people behind it weren't petty criminals or a few 'rough diamonds' or 'cheeky chappies.'
