Best of luck with the management role Mr. Impaler.

Disagree. He was painfully crap the vast majority of time - not as good as Yossi, Riera, Kuyt...anyone you care to mention who plays in the wide areas or off the front.

Still love him though. Have a great retirement Vladi

Vlad is now manager of the Czech Republic. That is insane.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                          Is he?

He was always their talisman. I always liked him.

Given his status in the squad at the time & the state of that squad as whole, his goal, celebration & penalty are one of the most iconic moments of that whole campaign.

Carra's tackles, Dude's dance, the post Xabi goal chaos, Luis' goals against Juve & Chavs, Igor's setting up of the Leverkusen goal, Gerrard's Olympiakos goal- Marky is dead right, I can't think of those things without getting all emotional.
                            3rd place. Worst champions ever.
