    Chelsea to sue over Lampard
    Eurosport - Fri, 13 Nov 09:09:00 2009

Lampard has been forced to return home and will now miss Saturday's friendly against Brazil in the Middle East.

Clearly Chelsea aren't too bothered about that. What they are concerned about however is the fact that their star midfielder is facing six weeks on the sidelines.

And the Blues are blaming the erstwhile FA for skimping on an economy flight, forcing the England team to spend the long-haul journey on a charter plane designed for short-haul flights only.

Fabio Capello's pampered Premier League footballers are more used to flat beds for long journeys and were shocked to find they had to put up with seats that barely reclined.

But poor Lampard, who strained his thigh after bursting into a sprint in training, was not the only one to suffer and other players complained of cramps and muscle pains on their arrival in Doha
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

England captain John Terry could miss Saturday's friendly against Brazil in Qatar with an ankle injury.

The Chelsea defender, 28, was expected to speak to the media on Friday but was replaced by Gareth Barry.

Barry is now one of only two fully fit members of Fabio Capello's regular first team in the squad, the other being striker Wayne Rooney.

But Capello is hopeful that Terry will recover in time to lead out England at the Khalifa International Stadium.

"He was running on his own and twisted his ankle. I am confident he will be fit for Saturday," said the Italian.

"The doctors think so but I won't take a risk. If he is not fit, he will not play."

England may be especially careful with Terry after his Chelsea team-mate Frank Lampard flew home on Friday with a thigh injury.
