Well i'd rather have barry in the team than lucas.....Barry is a good player chips in with goals,assists etc......He's not worht £18million but like i say i'd have barry over lucas in the team

He's looked good at times for City but I think the differences you see in Villa are more telling. They take much longer to get the ball from defense to attack no in a lot of games and their midfield plays deeper against good teams. I think we missed out in that while he isn't a world class player I feel he would fit perfectly into our system and allow us to play higher up the pitch which is one of the things I feel we really need to do.

He's slow, so yeah, pedestrian, but then so is Alonso and lots of other centre-mids. His range of passing is excellent and is an intelligent player who takes up really smart positions.

hopefull he will be ****e for the rest of the season so we can put a bid in for him. i really rate barry and think he would have been perfect for liverpool. i will probably get slated for these comments though!
