On 5Live the weakest of all commentary teams - Waddle and Green continue to be deeply irritating. As far as I can tell Green said pathetic about 50 times in the last 10 minutes of the first half describing a bit of whinging by Wenger, Hughes and Bellamy. If you are going to criticise others you should at least be in a position of strength due to doing your own job well - possibly describing the game or possibly just having a half decent vocabulary.

I'm pretty certain that at least half of what I heard that half was Green and Waddle expounding on things such as video refereeing - do they not understand that they are on the radio and we require them to inform us of what is going on in the game. Tossers the pair of them.

When Green actually commentates he is good. I even like the fact that he isn't afraid to say when a game is rubbish, as it makes a refreshing change from the Premier League hype machine that is Sky.

But when he insists on just giving us his opinions for 90 minutes it really is enough to drive you up the wall. I have had to turn him off a few times he has annoyed me so much. He acts as if he is being tortured by sitting watching a football match. I'll take that over my job any day of the week.
