Exactly. They have something like 1 win in 7-8 league games. Thats the opposite of worrying.

If we weren't just as bad then id be laughing at them

It's only a matter of time for city, with the money they have, it's inevitable they will break in to the top 4. Who will they replace? Logic suggests it will be us, unless something drastic happens.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

It certainly looks like we're favourates at the moment, followed by Arsenal. What's frustrating is that the Scum's team has so many players that are average but they still pull out results like yesterday
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Its knowing how to consistently score goals even when you're playing incredibly average. We look so poor going forward its unbelievable...I think one of the main differences between us/Chelsea/Manc's is our attacking threat from corners, im sure many of you also turn away or go get another can when you see stevie walking over to the corner flag to take a corner...and its not like we have an outstanding free flowing attack to compensate

I think it's a case of wait and see with City. But I would say the same about us.

After Arsenal we have three very winnable games followed by Villa away and Spurs at home. That takes us into January and I think we will have a much better picture of how our season is going to shape up.

Win those next six games and we'll be sitting comfartable in fourth at least and would probably be back in the title race the way things are going. I'm starting to think that it's going to be an up and down season at the top end of the league.

I can't honestly see us winning the next 6 games, which is why I think we are out the title race, but anything is possible. Whilst it would be a suprise to see us suddenly click into gear, we do have the players to do so.
            Forwards.......

Centre Forward/Striker (Torres), Target Man (Drogba), Withdrawn Striker (Maradona, Baggio, Puskas, Bergkamp, Pele, Cruyff)

Is he really as good as a few notable world class players, who play upfront?
Withdrawn striker i suppose but it doesn't really matter what his position his as he's just a world class player wherever he plays.

Gerrard doesn't really have a position on the pitch either, hasn't stopped him being as good as he is(was?)

7 draws in a row, then a win in a game where Chelsea should have done better, and City are "hitting form" ?? **** me.

Since has winning 1 league game in the last 7 been classed as 'hitting form'?

Gerrard is a defined attacking midfielder and is world class in that one position alone and history will say he has been one of the very best.

However, it does not matter where he plays whether it is at RB (champions league 2005 final in extra time) or as a holding midfielder, he is a near enough a complete & competent football. Stick him at centre back, right wing or upfront on his own and he would more then good enough.

However with Tevez, he is a striker, that’s all he is and when you look at the talent that has played throughout history is his role (which ever one it maybe) he's just not as good as them and imo can never be world class.
