    Wolves may be charged

Wolves are to be investigated and probably charged with playing a weakened team against man utd. FA rules state that a manger MUST pick his strongest team every game. If this is the case then every team ( including ourselves ) should be brought up on charges. Who the **** are these suited toss-pieces to tell a manager who his best and strongest team is???

Not true. As far as I'm aware no team has made TEN changes. We certainly never have. Also we have a squad of internationals. They don't, and one of the lads playing at centre-back was making his Premier League debut having been recalled from Scunthorpe. Scunthorpe FFS. That is taking the piss.

Technically its law that clubs must release their players to national sides after being called up, but that one is often skipped out on by a few aint it

true that we haven't made ten changes but last night pompey made 7. nothing was said about that. for 99 games in a row rafa made on avergae 2-3 changes to the team. nothing was said about that. it's a farce that wolves are bieng made a show of on this. if a manager beleives that making 10 changes and playing a new team against united is best for them then that is that. the effort put in aganist spurs was immense. they were tired and so got rested.

To be honest the FA shouldn't be able to dictate what team a manager plays - if a manager has a squad of players then he should be able to pick whoever he wants. This is the same argument as when teams started fielding weak sides in the Carling Cup; it's the norm now.

Obviously it can be a bit dicey, especially when you've got teams giving points away, but in truth it's very unlikely that they would have got anything at Old trafford with a full-strength side anyway.

Just have to hope that he does the same against us.

But what the hell is wrong with making 2-3 changes when you have 20 odd internationals? What Wolves did is a totally different kettle of fish. Can you imagine taking half a day off work, spending £50 on a ticket for that ****-hole and driving up to Manchester to watch that? No wonder so many Wolves fans want their money back. Some are even reporting them to trading standards!

Too right, good on 'em. Hope Wolves go down. Wenger is right, the teams fighting for the title (not us ) now have to compete against United over 37 games, not 38. It totally ruins the credibility and integrity of the league. Okay, United would probably have beaten their strongest XI but you never know.

Wenger said: "It is sad, but what can I do about that? I am responsible for Arsenal.

"We compete with Manchester United over 37 games instead of 38.

"I believe it is a problem for the international credibility of the Premier League, but it is not my problem, it is a Premier League problem

It up to the manager who he picks. If Wolves had done that against us, we would not be calling for them to be charged.

10 chnages from the team that got an amazing result against Spurs!! 10!!! FFS he has literally thrown the game, and if he had done that against us I would be saying exactly the same thing, albeit with a grin on my face.

it's just very annoying that the FA rules state that a team MUST play their strongest team in the league. if thats so why doesn't torres play every game? because he is fit but was tired last night. by the letter of the law we should be charged with that. wolves know they are facing a huge battle to stay up this year and accordingly so are resting their squad when they can. rafa, wenger, fergie all do the same. are people gonna argue if united play sunderland when bruce rests bent and sunderland get beat??

But Sunderland wouldn't rest Bent against United unless he wasn't fit.

It annoys me because teams do it at OT all the team, albeit not on such a vast scale. West Brom used to do it under Bryan Robson (coincidence? I think ****ing not) and they get a free pass from many sides who just write the game off. ****s me off no end. The Mancs I know live in blissful ignorance/denial, which winds me up further.

If Torres is tired and not 100% fit, then he isn't a part of the strongest team. Simple. He has an injury and we are managing it as best we can. There is nothing wrong with that.

McCarthy took 10 fit and confident players out of his team and replaced them with dross who never feature. Totally different.

Would you be bothered if they'd got the result and then changed 10 players against Bolton or a team of that ilk?
