Argentine labels Drogba as the best striker in the Premier League

Sergio Aguero believes he would suit Chelsea's style of play as speculation continues that the Atletico Madrid star is bound for Stamford Bridge in January.

The Spaniards claimed that they rejected another bid for the Argentina forward at the beginning of December after also turning down an approach in the summer.

But reports maintain that Aguero will be heading for the Premier League in the winter transfer window, with Chelsea keen to cover the temporary departures of Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou for the African Cup of Nations.

The 21-year-old has hinted that he would be interested in a move to England by claiming that he would comfortably fit into the plans of Carlo Ancelotti.

Aguero, quoted in The Scum, said: "Chelsea are interested in me because they think I can play an important role for the team.

"And I think I fit with their style of play.

"Of course I watch the Premier League on TV and I think it is the best league in the world, along with the Spanish league."

He added: "There are a lot of very good players but, right now, the top striker in the Premier League is without doubt, Drogba.

"After comes Fernando Torres, but Drogba is the best."
