I think it's a ****ing disgrace that Hughes has been sacked."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

I don't understand those who are saying its a disgrace. He's spent a ton of money and made plenty of mistakes this season. They have won something like 3 games from their last 12. Not exactly what their owner expects. Hughes has had time and not done all that much to suggest he was the right man for them.
He didn't exactly have a great record and some of his buys have been pretty crap

How many managers get to spend £200m+ in one transfer window, especially on a side that has already had a significant amount of investment in the previous couple of years? Hughes was always going to have to produce instant results after that absurd level of spend, and to be fair, hasn't really, City have been ok, but are no more a shoe-in for 4th than Villa, Spurs, or us
That was never going to be good enough for the money-men, and I can see why, however unrealistic their expectations may be.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

LOL They're 6th in the league, have been beaten twice all season and are well in the mix for a Champions League spot, they're also in a Carling Cup Semi-Final. All that with a ****load of new players gelling toegther. I think he's done more than enough to suggest he can take City even further.Originally posted by -V- View PostI don't understand those who are saying its a disgrace. I can see that view I just think that given some of the football they were playing and how open the league is that waiting until the end of the season would have seemed sensible. To be honest there has been a feeling of inevitability about it for a while.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostHow many managers get to spend £200m+ in one transfer window, especially on a side that has already had a significant amount of investment in the previous couple of years? "A return of two wins in 11 Premier League games is clearly not in line with the targets that were agreed and set," read a City statement."
"Sheikh Mansour and the board felt that there was no evidence that the situation would fundamentally change."
It's a similar situation to us yet were hearing nothing about change.
