Lack of policing and cheaper tickets.

West Ham really seem to want to do this on a shoestring too - they've been gifted the stadium but don't seem to want to pay for the increased police presence that the larger stadium requires.

Someone could get killed if they don't get something sorted soon.

Threaten them with a points deduction - that'll get their arses into gear.

Piss poor segregation, vast wide open spaces directly outside the ground, and outsourced stewards (employed by the stadium rather than the club) with, by all accounts, a very young average age. 16 and 17 year olds trying to stop 40 year old fellas with a gallon of piss inside them from fighting. It's ridiculous.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

        Yep.

There is no segregation on the internal concourse, which apparently is the access point to the top and bottom tiers. So you can basically roam and do a lap of the stadium in the concourse.

They've not really adapted the stadium for true segregation at all.

Also, the stadium is owned by one party and rented by the club, and I guess that neither are taking effective ownership of the problem.
        Oh I don't know.

They wanted more police but the police/council said no until they have the radio coverage issue sorted. I don't blame WHU as much as it would give me pleasure, the local authority have shown themselves utterly clueless while blocking the clubs willingness is act.

It's because the stadium is designed for airy fairy track and field sports that no one really cares about. Families just turn up to clap a bit and be bored.

Wasn't designed for a load of angry, pissed up tossers.

No one cared about the sold out Olympics, the events at which could have been sold 20 times over at this venue?

                          OK.

Airy-fairy sports no-one really cares about...???

I remember a certain saturday that this stadium WAS ROCKING -

                            Jess Ennis
                            Mo Farah
                            Greg Rutherford

                            ALL GOLD MEDAL WINNERS

.. that no-one really cared about (aye right).

And why do other Olympic Stadia (hosting football matches and cup finals) in Europe not have this problem??

Err, Pissed up, BRITISH tossers as you (didn't) say. There's the problem, not having a go at Athletics.

the city stadium was always planned to be a footie ground after wasnt it? Thats the difference here, and I think the trouble is a bit self fulfilling people expect it so it happens
