Pennant To Be Offloaded by Zaragoza

I always thought he was ****, but a while ago a few articles appeared saying how good he was playing in Spain and how he could go to the World Cup. Well Jermaine, maybe all those things Rafa thought about you were right after all.

Real Zaragoza are ready to offload former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant when the transfer window reopens.

Pennant, who joined Zaragoza in the summer on a free transfer, has failed to hit the heights in Spain and his club are reported to be willing to listen to offers for the wideman.

Zaragoza director Erard Poschner claims they are disappointed with the impact made by Pennant and are ready to sell him back to the Premier League next month, if they can find a buyer.

"We are disappointed with Pennant. This is based on the commitment of the players," Poschner is quoted as saying in The Scum.

"With spirit like this it is better to 'sack' some players and seek reinforcements in the winter market. We want players who guarantee their work and effort."

Aston Villa have been linked with a move for the former Birmingham man who recently expressed his happiness with life in Spain.

Liked his style of player. His attitude is clearly crap though. You would have thought he would have learned from his experience with Arsenal and then us but no. I think the right sort of (probably British) manager might get him back to being an effective PL player but he has pissed his talent against the wall really.

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I thought Pennant was doing well in Spain?! Not that I've seen him play for Zaragoza but I'm sure that I read he was doing ok...?!

                    What a waste of talent

Zaragoza are in debt at the moment and need something to help reduce their burden. Pennant seems to be one of their answers. Villa are incredibly interested.

What would have been the interview with Pennant.

Villa probably already have the best squad of wingers in the league.
