Man U Fans top hooligan league

So yet more proof that their fans are scum. Our position matches our current league position... ironic

Manchester United had more fans arrested for hooliganism last season than any other Premier League club, according to Home Office figures.

..Some 3,752 arrests were made in total across the football league, a fall of two per cent on the previous season, with arrests being made at one-third of all matches. But arrests for racist chanting rose from 13 to 23, while pitch invasions rose from 203 to 245.

United fans accounted for 185 of the 1,600 top-flight fans arrested during the 2008-09 season, with Newcastle second on 144 and Everton third on 139.

By contrast, just 13 Fulham fans were arrested during the season.

Outside the Premier League, Leeds and Cardiff saw the most arrests with 127 and 89 respectively.

Figures suggested English fans travelling overseas to watch European matches were better behaved. Out of the 105,000 fans who travelled to 49 games in European club competitions, only 30 were arrested.

    Premier League arrests table

    1. Manchester United - 185

    2. Newcastle - 144

    3. Everton - 139

    4. Sunderland - 138

I heard you have Carvery dinners at the new Library plus continental chefs. At least you're keeping true to your traditions.

Thought Stoke would have been ahead of Arsenal and Sunderland.

I'd imagine it's simply because Arsenal and Sunderland have more supporters. That's every Manc's answer when you take the piss out of their hoolie stats....and it's a fair point I suppose.

Says the follower of the team who brought a firm of kids to Liverpool for the FA Cup tie a couple years back, then tried to give it the big 'un outside the Kop with their Burberry and Stone Island gear on and had to be escorted back to their own end for their own safety.

                          Horrible, gob****e, little ****s.
