Woke up to see that SSN are reporting that Levy is holding out for £126m.
If that's even remotely true, they're absolutely deluded and if Madrid even consider a bid in the region of 3/4 of that figure they're stupid.
12 months ago, he wasn't worth 10m.
Don't get me wrong he's had an exceptional season, he is likely to get better and I'm sure he's worth 50m when you consider shirt sales, royalties etc but not much more than that.Comment

I think people are going a little over the top in the criticism of Bale, he is a good player, his record last season was fantastic. But for me he's just had one great season and one good season, if he can do what he did last season consistently he will be a very good player, but at the moment it is IMO too early to know, so figures of £80m plus are crazy.
Fair play to Spurs if they can get that kind of money for him. Given the circumstances I think the only way Spurs can lose is if they keep trying to push up the price and Madrid walk away. If he proves to be a world class player they will have got a world record fee for him, if he doesn't prove to be world class they'll be laughing.
I guess the problem for them is that they don't have CL football to attract top players and clubs will know they have a ton of money so will up the price for their replacement targets accordingly.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment
