Get two very good players and £50m...use that cash to sign a top striker and possibly another centre half...they'd be in a very good position

If that's true they they could be swapping Bale (someone who cost ~£8m) for Di Maria, Coentrao, Soldado & AN Other.

That wouldn't be a bad window at all. How would they afford the wages though? Don't they always spend so much through having a strict wage cap?

I don't think Spurs have got a better squad than us. Not at all. Think we're pretty close as it is.

I do. They finished 11 points ahead of us last season and have added Paulinho to an already good midfield. We've added Luis Alberto, who I like the look of - a lot - but the reality is he's untried and while he could be anything, they've signed ready-made international class. Soldado - wildly overpriced though he is - is better than anything they have up front, so that's another improvement. And they'll be spunking a good bit more I should imagine.

We finished 11 points behind them partly because we had to bed in a new manager and system. I can't see an 11 points gap this time around.
