Levy has probably turned it down because it's £50m plus Di Maria and Coentrao. Maybe he wants neither and wants the cash? Or maybe he thinks he can get more money. Madrid have been stupid enough to promise the signing of Bale to it's fans. With all their elections and stuff someone is going to look stupid if they don't sign him...so they'll go higher (like they did with Modric)
Levy has balls when it comes to dealing with players at his club who want out. He'd bust Suarez's balls that's for sure

had to laugh - this morning on bbc gossuip part
one paper says - "levy giving bale the silent treatment"
next paper says - "levy cancels holiday to see bale"
soo... he's cancelled his holiday, to fly home, and then sit in silence staring at bale

anyway - spurs, fair play to them, they've got a decent squad imo - FM thinking now, but if they got £50m plus di maria and coentrao for Bale, and then signed Soldado for £30m and a good centre half for £20m - they'd look very good.

You're thinking of Paulinho
Even without the sale of Bale they have a good squad, better than ours which is so obvious I find it hard to believe people question it. The gap isn't massive but there is a gap.
same thing
but yes i'd agree - even if they kept Bale and didn't sign a centre half or striker - they still look to have a very strong squadi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Paul Kelso @pkelso
Gareth Bale set on move to Real Madrid, believes initial offer already made, attitudes hardening on both sides #THFCCoral @Coral
@pkelso Interesting shift in the Bale betting today too. Now favoured to leave White Hart Lane for the first time. 4/7 to go, 5/4 to stay. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think it would but at the minute I'm not certain if that's a good thing, if Suarez wants to leave the worst case scenario is we sell up to Arsenal for less than we want on the final week or we keep an unhappy player.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostSurely if this happens it would rule out them moving for Luis. Surely?

Yeah but he's already going to miss 6 games of this season and that's without getting banned this season, which lets be honest based on previous season is likely to happen.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostWe keep an unhappy player. He won't be unhappy for long. Once his ban is over he'll back into the swing of things. He's football obsessed, he'll be fine.
My question is, would we be better keeping Suarez for one more season with him missing, say 9 games which I think is fair to presume. Or cashing in and taking £45m?Vive la France

It's a tough question to answer. With a heavy heart I'd probably take £50m+ from a foreign team, but the only club willing to bid anywhere near that seems to be Arsenal and well they can **** off!Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostYeah but he's already going to miss 6 games of this season and that's without getting banned this season, which lets be honest based on previous season is likely to happen.
