because having black skin doesn't really make you look like a monkey. it's just an racist epithet, it doesn't really have anything to do with what black people look like, but rather it's saying that they are less evolved.

whereas gareth bale just straight up looks like a monkey.

Yeah good point. I just got to thinking about and wondered if it was the scientific racism angle or something else.
