Would it though? They would have Gareth Bale left. I know he is well over valued. But he is a stonking player. Dragged Spurs through some games on his own last season, and with the strength they have added will only make them tougher.

That said I think they will see. No way would they spend that much without the thought of some of it coming back.

Probably haggling over the number of payments, no way will Madrid be paying €90m odd in one hit.

Whatever happens Spurs getting Paulinho,Soldado,Chadli,Capuoe & maybe Willian/Lamela/Coentrao.... that is some improvement even if Bale is a fantastic player.

If you include that they only bought Lloris & Vertonghen last season two.... apart from Walker & Dawson/Kaboul it literally is a whole new starting 11 in such a short space of time

If... and that's a big if they do get Willian/Lamela & Coentrao... that is some side.

People talking about Spurs defence being poor.. Vertonghen is excellent, Walker had first great year, second season syndrome but he has huge potential. Kaboul has improved dramatically and injury is why Dawson has been head of him. Rose looks a talent too at LB, but bringing Coentrao in would be big improvement. As for Lloris IMO he is poor at crosses and positionally weak but is a fantastic shot stopper and lightning quick off his line... like the Reina of old and can act as a sweeper.

Very interesting and slightly worrying if these deal come to pass, but sure we'll see what happens. Could very well be shrewd business.... The money quoted for Bale is almost farcical.. some player but FFS like.
