He has been exceptional in one season and had a very good return in others mainly playing wide left.

I meant he has only had one season where he showed anythiing out of the ordinary, that would warrant anything more than an ordinary price. It's ridiculous paying that amount for a 24 year old that have had one very good season and the rest decent ones.

This deal is insane - I don't deny that he's a good player, but it's a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a good player. He was probably the third best footballer in the Premiership last year, but he didn't bite anybody. I hope this goes spectacularly wrong for Real Madrid, football is becoming a complete farce.
