If that's true, it's another astonishing offer!

Rooney just isn't going to sign for Spurs though - its not like the US sports where you can mostly trade players like a commodity without their consent!

He may well go. Depends what kind of reaction he gets off the Manc fans tonight too I'd say

There'll be another Spurs wankfest among LFC fans if they get Rooney plus £60m

That £60m would get swallowed up in fattys wages, isn't he on £250000 a week at the moment?

I can't see Bale wanting to go there, Madrid to Manchester is hardly a like for like comparison

I think Daniel Levy is trying to extract every last penny from Madrid with this move.

i said the same, now if Real had any sense knowing spurs have spent most of the Bale money they should now offer £45 million or back away from the deal and call spurs bluff

And that's why the Suarez story is planted in AS today, to counterweight that by saying we have other options.

That Levy certainly knows how to squeeze every last penny from a buying club.

Hawksbee//Jacob just came up with a great point. Levy is waiting as long as he can to do the deal as he knows Arsenal are awaiting to try and get Benzema/Di Maria
but cant do anything till this deal is sorted.

                            there both knobs.......
Talking to the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, Benzema's agent, Karim Djaziri, said: "We can not fight against the rumours, but I assure you Karim will not go to Arsenal. There has never been any discussions and no contact has been established."

There had been talk that the imminent arrival of Gareth Bale would push Benzema out of Madrid, but Djaziri confirmed his client is in discussions over a new contract. "We are working on a contract extension for three years," he said. "Discussions are taking place quietly, without deadline. Karim could well end his career at Real, the club of his dreams."

Nah, the H&J show is pretty good.

                              Raises an interesting point too.
