Imagine you were Gareth Bale, about to be propelled into (potentially) stratospheric superstardom. Spurs took some convincing to let you go and then held up the move for their own interests.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHe told Spurs he wouldn't play in any games and failed to turn up to training three days running having previously agreed to train
Would you honestly come back for a couple of weeks directly before the conclusion of the transfer and risk getting a serious injury?
Would you ****
Spurs wouldn't want the risk either imo. I reckon Spurs were just playing the game for financial gains.Hello mert.

F*cking right there's no comparison. Bale wanted to go and Spurs were happy to sell him. Bale was getting his way so didn't need to manoeuvre for his "dream move".Originally posted by danperkins View PostSpurs were always going to sell & IMO they were always in control of that transfer. Bale hardly uttered a word until the final days of the transfer & both clubs got exactly what they wanted.
Zero comparison with Suarez saga.
That's the essential difference from Suárez's position and LFC.
But of course maybe Suárez is just an unloyal - disloyal - barbd while Bale is a beacon to the world..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I suspect you didn't adopt this attitude when Mascherano allegedly refused to play for us before his dream move to BarcelonaOriginally posted by Fivex View PostImagine you were Gareth Bale, about to be propelled into (potentially) stratospheric superstardom. Well considering he's a LFC supporter i don't really think he'd give a **** about Bale and SpursOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI suspect you didn't adopt this attitude when Mascherano allegedly refused to play for us before his dream move to Barcelona

To be fair though, Spurs were well prepared for this & did some fine business before they let him go. Worked out well for them & Bale IMO

You're right, I didn't. Although I suspect you wouldn't let that incident cloud your judgement if there was a chance of him returning? :POriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI suspect you didn't adopt this attitude when Mascherano allegedly refused to play for us before his dream move to Barcelona

Frenchie
I have developed a severe case of Hodgsonitis, the very sight of his name in the written word, or the sound of his name brings me out in a cold sweat and I vomit just a little in my mouth.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostNot remotely
- I wasn't arsed about the so-called strike anyway.
I fully backed him, what with Hodgson and all.
As I type I'm swallowing back chunder... Can we ban the use of that cunt's name in any thread pretty please......
