The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
What glass house does Bellamy live in? I know he's no angel but what's he done, other than get battered by some Manc ogre the other week?
CRAIG Bellamy was caked in blood after his face was pummelled outside a nightclub.
A Man United fan battered the Man City striker splitting his head open and sending him flying. The 6ft 2in attacker - built like a rugby player - continued pounding 5ft 9in Bellamy as he lay sprawled on the ground. The man fled before cops arrived at trendy Panacea club in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
An onlooker said: "The guy hit Bellamy five or six times. He pummelled him in the face."
Bellamy, 30, refused to press charges and was driven off in a Rolls Royce. He was pictured yesterday with a black eye and cut face. The Welsh international had been out with his team-mate Wayne Bridge after a 2-1 defeat against Hull on Saturday last week.
Bridge, whose ex Vanessa Perroncel had a fling with Chelsea's John Terry, was not involved.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
That's the point. Bellamy's got a reputation as a bit of a pain and he's certainly no 'diplomat', but i dont think he's had issues whereby he's screwed one of his best mates over, and cheated repeatedly on his wife & kids.
Or called an international colleague "a lippy black monkey", or racially insulted another fellow pro etc etc. Terry's got some front, their respective rap sheets are not comparable.

Terry's got (or did have) the positive media perception in his favour, the 'brave lionheart' bollocks etc, while Bellamy didnt toe the party line, tells things like it is and basically goes against the media's preferred style.
One of the more memorable stories about Bellamy in my mind, is the stuff he did for charities, in africa i think? He doesnt hold back, and some people dont like that. But to me, he's got miles more class and integrity than CBJT.
Yeah I think Bellamy's a top bloke. Didn't he have two kids at the age of 19 or something and he stuck around. I know he's still with the girl, married, and now has three or four kids. He's a good man at heart as far as I know.

He certainly used to be prone to getting into fights from what I remember too. Although a lot of the time at Norwich and Newcastle on the football related matters he has usually been proven right long term.
