At the other end that either goes straight under the keeper or bounces out to Rooney who misses his kick but the defender scores an OG.

If Ronaldinho can keep up this level the tie's still on.

United goal: You won't see a luckier goal tonight, that's for sure. Park sends Darren Fletcher away down the United right and his cross falls for Paul Scholes. He totally misses it with his right foot, the ball hits his standing left leg and rolls agonisingly over the line. Remarkable, after what has gone before it tonight.

It's over. Even if Milan somehow win this, and they won't, it'll be 2-1 at best. 2-1 going to OT means the mancs are going through. Even if Milan somehow lead 2-0 at OT, they'll get 4 penalties in the last 10 minutes and win.

Ferguson went mad at Evans cos he's been absolutely ****ing ****e. He is absolutely ****e. I read recently (Manc Evening News) that Ferguson apparently is convinced he's good enough for long term first choice after Vidic goes. I ****ing hope so. Said all along this lad's ****.

They kept Evans and sold Pique. But Ferguson's a genius, isn't he.

Must admit I thought Pique was ****e too. Saw him play for their reserves against us a couple of times and he was absolutely massive in the flesh, and ****e. Amazed at his improvement.

2035: It's been all Stoke at the Britannia - Man City are lucky to be level still. But if they do hold out, they will go ahead of Liverpool in the race for fourth place.

He was always very good. A proper footballing CB with a great future, he just needed games to get experience and improve his positioning. I was delighted they sold him, he was their best chance of replacing Ferdinand.

                                Ffs

2058: Sending off (abdoulaye faye, stoke)
the stoke captain is shown a straight red card for hauling down emmanuel adebayor as the striker latched on to a long ball from the back. He was the last man, and can probably have few complaints.
