And he's tough as nuts, rarely gets injured, or when he is it doesn't take long for him to get going again.

he has an Achilles heel though, temperament when he loses the ball in possession he is like a demented mad man lunging in at the player who took it off him, and world cup refs wont go much on is crazed foul mouthed ranting. great player but could be a liability in the world cup.

Couldn't care less, I am not English and I will not be having any particular interest in the world cup. This thread wasn't intended to 'cheer' on Wayne Rooney, just to acknowledge his talents and the fact he's been head and shoulders above the rest during this very average season of Premiership football.
