Sir Alex Fergiescum gets Something Right

Yes I know, it sounds unlikely. But on the law of averages it has to happen sometimes. And I agree with him on this one. The Guardian reports here: (http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...-premierleague)

that he has banned the kids youth players from wearing fancy coloured boots. I'm on the old side, and a bit of a traditionalist, but I hate boots in any colour but black. And now Old Red Nose agrees (although not for the first team, well, step by step eh).

Should silver, red, green and whatever colour boots but black be banned. I say yes. Well done Slur Alex!

we should tap the feckers up, entice them over with a selection of boots in varying colours and go faster stripes

This man is such a bully – let these kids wear their fancy boots I say. The colour is of absolutely no importance.

At first I hated them - people like Cheyrou wearing white boots FFS - but they've become so commonplace that the idea of everyone in black boots is now totally old school. Who gives a **** what colour they are?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I don't know - not sure how I'd feel if all our players ran out in blue boots...

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

although it pains me to say it, i have a blue pair of boots which i honestly beleive make me play better. bit of a superstition but it works. wear whatever boots you like i say......they are only boots afterall.

as Henry Ford once said you can have them in any colour as long as its black!

I'm just an old fart. I really have an irrational dislike of all these fancy coloured boots. Goes with my distaste for the "premier league" rather than Division 1, the "champion's League" rather than the European Cup. I know, those days are gone, but since they were quite good days for us, i miss them.

i think white boots put us into the 05 CL final... william gallas' white boots have a lot to answer for if you support chelski...

... and a lot to be grateful for from our perspective ;-)
