As we keep seem to be saying this season our next couple of games are crucial. I'm full of optimism again

Gotta fancy Spurs and City to win those
Dodgy Harry will probably give the pompey team a nice brown packet to see them off.

On a side note its good to see spurs in the fa cup semi's. If they see of Pompey in the fa cup and the league standing finish as it is, whilst England are in the top 3 of the fair play league. The top 8 will be in Europe. So all is not lost boys, we can still make the INTERTOTO CUP, here we come :yee haa, cowboys:

it doesn't seem to stop does it, we keep getting chances from villa, city and spurs to overtake them but we just don't seem to be able to. it's a bit like rafa's first season when everton kept ****ing up and giving us the oppurtunity to get 4th but we ****ed up just as badly as them.

we have to win all our remaining fixtures! - even that might not be enough - but from to the end of the season we have to go all out and win every game so at least we gave ourselves half a chance -

but i do fear it's too much to ask! 3 teams, none of which have experienced champions league before, will all be fighting their lives out - they just seem to want it a bit more than our bunch of half wits. - if it was just one maybe two fighting it out i'd be thinking, hmm good run they will **** one and bottle it - but i just can't see all three ****ing up
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

yeah but at the same time none of those teams have experience in handling the pressure when they have to get results, and not to mention all of them have some tricky ties to play.

if (and it's a big if) we win all of our remaining matches, and at least draw against chelsea i think we'd be 4th. but it's one thing saying it and a completely other leaving it in the hands of those overpaid, underperforming players.

Well Villa already look to be running out of steam.

City are very disjointed and look vulnerable in virtually every game they play.

Spurs have a torrid set of games left - 4 out of their last 8 games are against United, Chelsea, City and Arsenal. Plus they have a habit of losing their nerve when the pressure gets really stoked up.

There's weak points in all three of them.

Im very confident that those 3 will drop enough points to let us in. They are already dropping points. But I have no confidence in our boys to take advantage. Even if we beat Sunderland you can beat we'll go away to Birmingham and mess up

4th should be ours looking at the table, but I''m saying 5th if we don't get any key players injured. If Tevez misses a couple more games it could be 6th.City are not playing well enough and not showing the ambition to get 4th. Liverpool seem to want it more than us. Mancini doesn't enthuse me. We are currently not setting ourselves up to score enough goals to finish ahead of Liverpool especially now Torress looks fit.
I think you can only justifiably say 4th if you are an eternal optimist, who has no regard for, or understanding of our form and tactics, and you pay no attention to the form of the teams around us. And you're concussed. And on Crack.
                    heart says 5th

                    head says 6/7
Another question is many how more points will we get this season? I ask because points is a direct measure of our own performance but position, although ultimately more important, is also dependent on other teams' performances which we cannot influence to a huge extent (6 pointers aside).

Personally speaking, a point a game seems ambitious at this stage.

those reactions were probably after last night's defeat weren't they? it's the same on here, every time we loose, we're lucky to finish 8th

More of a sacking really. His post match interview last night sealed it. He basically admitted he had no idea how to approach SPL games
