Lets not forget though that Barca had their two first choice centre backs out, and a world class attacking midfielder only able to make the bench. It's arguable whether Ibrahimovic should be first choice but he was also injured. Where was Henry last night?

I find it odd that so many people will leap to Wenger's defence, when we've had more injuries for longer periods of the season and people are so keen to attack our own manager.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The only manager? You sure about that?Originally posted by -V- View PostWas he classless when he was the only manager in the prem sticking up for Rafa during our worst spell this season?
Ferguson has stuck up for Rafa this season. Have you honestly never noticted managers of other big clubs having love ins with managers of other big teams when they're doing ****e?
We were a huge threat to Utd last season - Ferguson hates us and Rafa
No threat this year - Ferguson sticks up for Rafa.
He's a classless prick, the Millwall comments, the snide arrogant way his teams have been and his pathetic "you cant tackle our players" bollocks. He's an absolute bellend.

Not really, I don't remember Fergie saying anything good about Rafa this season. He's not had anything positive to say after Rafa's 'facts' interview before the stoke game last season.
I could be wrong as I generally ignore Fergie's comments but I really don't remember him sticking up for Rafa, if you have some quotes do share

He's one of the more obviously immature members of that team. There is the kernel of a good player there but he seems easily intimidated and makes poor decisions too often for my liking. I think that Wenger's comments before the first leg about his players not really knowing how to play when they don't have the ball for long periods was true and Nasri was a prime example - trying to do too much when he got it and running into trouble.Originally posted by Chrono View PostWhen they were lining up before the game I was amazed because Nasri seemed to be visibly shaking."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Utd very rarely get easily beaten by anyone, apart from us of course. Even when they are outplayed, the still manage to score to keep games tight. It's almost like it doesn't matter what **** they put put in terms of personnel, their mentality gets them reults.Originally posted by dww View PostI hope Shaggy is right.
I think that the Mancs would get easily get beaten by Barcelona. They leave midfield far too open and unlike last season they don't even have the option of putting out an in form defensive midfield with two good attacking options on the break. Like Wenger I think Fergie's attacking philosophy makes them doomed against that sort of attack.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

The CL final last year was a pretty sound defeat.
