Madrid needs a long term project. They'll win nothing with appointing managers for one year then sacking them. Even superstar players have to be coached in a certain way of playing. I think they did relatively well this season in the league. To keep that close to Barca at this stage of the season is no mean feat.

Its bound to happen mate with their squad, he should move as soon as possible otherwise like many others, his career will start declining.

Then you'd pick someone else from the bench to go on. With this many players on the bench you can afford to take a risk with one of them.

most managers do this with big players they will put them on the bench if they are not fully fit. its also a way of easing someone back from injury.
