He was a very slow carthorse who appeared to be running through treacle, played for Forest and Wednesday.

I'm torn on what i want tonight. I honestly dont want Barca getting close to overtaking our European Cup record. I know it doesnt matter to some, and that's not a problem, everyone's entitled to their own views, so it's cool. But i personally, do not want to see that.

Having said that, they play sensational football and across the course of this season, where i've started feeling negatively about football in general, they have provided consistent reminders about why i love the game. Watching them in full flow is truly delightful.

On the other side of the coin to worrying about our record, is that if Inter win it, i fear what this will do to JM's stock and despite the fact that plenty dont want him at LFC or think it's impossible to get him, i still hold out hope of this and if he wins it, he'll probably be offered a seat in the Spanish royal palaces just to go and manage them.

The other alternative in general, is Bayern Munich - but i also dont want them to win their 5th and equal us

So i really have no idea what i want to see tonight, other than a really entertaining exciting game which can be thoroughly enjoyed.

Barca need to win by a big margin so hopefully this need will bring out their quality and they'll put on a show. Likewise though, Inter are one of the best and most capable sides when it comes to negating a free flowing Barcelona team, so it'll be fascinating to watch.

I fancy Inter to score at some point, so it's really poised quite evenly for me.

If i'm forced to make a prediction, i would say that i think Inter will JUST about sneak through, but they'll probably be hanging on and ****ting bricks for a considerable portion of the latter stages.

I wouldnt be shocked to see extra time, and if that happens, you'd probably have to fancy Barca to nick a 4th goal and win 4-1. However, i'll stick my neck out and predict that Inter will see the tie through by virtue of a 2-1 home win and some very squeaky Inter Milan arses as they just about stumble over the finish line and take their place at the Bernabeu next month.

If you dont want Mourinho at Liverpool, you should probably be rooting for him to win the CL for Inter - he'll be a shoe-in at Real Madrid if that happens.

I can handle Barca moving to four European Cups. It's still behind us and it puts them, ****ing rightfully, ahead of the Mancs with their poxy three. That'll do very nicely.

I certainly wouldnt mind it if i thought they were likely to sit on 4 for a few years, while we recover. But they're the sort of side who could easily rattle off another 3 european cups in about the next 5 years That'd **** up our position in the rankings, somewhat royally

It would but retaining the thing is difficult enough. Three on the spin - or more - is very unlikely. They need to win three more to move ahead of us - and this time last year they hadn't won that many in their entire history, with countless great sides too. Barcelona going to four is absolutely fine by me.

I have to say I kind of just wanted someone to prove my point that when teams like Inter this year or Chelsea the other make Barca play in certain areas and constrict others they can look a bit toothless. In all the other games this year teams seem to have tried to play Barca using their normal game and been taken apart.

They are a great team but they still have weaknesses and it was nice to see them.

no debates, he was a free transfer, they love him

I've always thought of Olic as having great pace but no acceleration. I think the analogy with Kuyt is a sound one in general too (pace excluded).

If this win this year, it'll be 4. They could easily win another 2 or 3 in the next few years, with the side they have.

                    Messi's 22 mate!

Like I said, they need to win three more to go ahead of us. They've had players like Maradona, Cruyff - players every bit as good as Messi - and other greats on their books, and it took them over 100 years to win their first three.

Well i fear the Barca rampage!

I doubt anyone would dismiss the notion of them winning it next year too - that'd make 5

They've a tall enough order winning it this year. I'm pretty desperate for them to prevail tonight but I think they're going out. They'll win on the night but I don't think they'll win by enough. Hope I'm wrong.

They'll go through if they can get to extra time.

I might have a tenner on each side to win in extra time and then each on penalties too - penos is 40/1 each. Barca were 18/1 in extra time and Inter about 25s, i think.

Worth a punt, 3-1 after 90 minutes wouldnt be that surprising IMO.

Just had 3 Israeli Barcelona 'fans' on SSN, who predicted 3-0. When asked who'd score the goals, they obviously named Messi - and then one of them went "Well....Messi, but maybe Eto'o"
