Over rated IMO. The odd outstanding goal but I have not been too impressed otherwise.

Much prefer the potential of Adam Johnson. Looks more like the real deal IMO. Citeh will have to move him to the left if they sign Milner and I think that is a mistake. Johnson has been outstanding on the right and would not be as effective of the left IMO.

why so? Milner has mainly been playing through the middle this season.

obviously, and the point is? Gerrard have been our saviour for years he's due the odd poor season.

I think they are very different types of player. I think Milner could play deeper - he has certainly showed he can play centrally and has at times played fullback.

I wonder if he wouldn't be a good fit for a team like ours playing in midfield alongside Mascherano and pushing forward from there.

I agree that Johnson is looking like a very promising wide player. Even if we assume that they will both play in wide positions I've never known it to be a bad thing for a team to have two talented and tactically flexible players in the squad.

I'd agree with Bob on this. Although I think we could do with someone in the squad who could fill in playing the role Gerrard does in the team when he is injured/needs a rest/is out of form.

i actually totally agree with you in terms of "just one poor season"

however it shows that milner is still a proper player to have a season of such quality when its his first at this club and the first in this position

I think milner will go on and improve again next season, in the games I've seen him play for villa he really sticks out as having a real desire to win on top of everything else

Me too. My friend calls him Stig of the Dump, but I ****ing love him since he was on loan at Villa.

He's a good player, I rate him, I thought the £12m Villa paid was alot at the time, but in fairness I'd say that's about right. £24m though is crazy
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

£24m does look a bit mad, but he's young, English, great little player - we paid £18m for something similar

I remember when we were linked with him ages back - everyone said Rafa was mad and that he wasn't anywhere near good enough for LFC.
