It's a ****ing joke. Why? What good reason? They've got another ****ing keeper FFS. An international one at that. Alright it's the Faroe Islands but so what.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostFullop has joined from Sunderland.
I just don't understand it. I know GK is a specialist position but so is lone striker, why can't we borrow a striker now Torres, Ngog and Kuyt are all injured? I'm being facetious but still...kin annoyed about this. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

So why's it any different for City?Last month Chelsea faced a similar goalkeeping crisis, when Ross Turnbull was their only fit goalkeeper for the league game against West Ham, with the west Londoners promoting academy product Rhys Taylor to the bench. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Total joke of a decision, why have the guy as a third choice if when the other two are injured they don't want to play him?The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

5 of those 9 are not registered with the PL and not ready for the big time yet, and of the 4 that are registered, 3 are injured leaving them with only 1 option and no back-up. So yeah, why can't City hire a replacement? I'd expect the same ruling from the PL if it was us in this situation.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post

Becasue city gave them a bigger wad of cash much biggerOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostYouth players do not need to be registered to play in the PL. They have plenty of keepers who could play. They just don't trust them.
Also, why where Chelsea not allowed to bring a keeper in, yet City are?

It didn't say they weren't allowed did it? They simple had more PL experienced keepers and were happy to play them.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostYouth players do not need to be registered to play in the PL. They have plenty of keepers who could play. They just don't trust them.

The rule has always been there and I have no real problem with City using it. I'd rather they changed the rule in future to better define emergency given the assets of top clubs but that's not the way it is."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I think that if they have this rule, you should have to play the senior fit goalkeeper who is registered with your club, and the emergency signing has to be back up, to prevent teams making an emergency signing so they can have a better keeper. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Then that senior keeper would "pick up" a mysterious niggling injury that would leave him fit only for the bench.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI think that if they have this rule, you should have to play the senior fit goalkeeper who is registered with your club, and the emergency signing has to be back up, to prevent teams making an emergency signing so they can have a better keeper.

I have given some thought to this (since I mentioned the idea proposed by Exiled_red some 31 posts earlierOriginally posted by Scratch View PostThen that senior keeper would "pick up" a mysterious niggling injury that would leave him fit only for the bench.
) and in that case you have to have use any keeper in your first team squad ahead of the loanee. If they aren't fit enough to start, you can't have them on the bench.
In that case, the loanee can start and you have to name a keeper on the bench from your youth team (assuming you're not that prat Warnock who doesn't have a keeper on the bench). Other clubs have done it in the past, as has already been mentioned..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
