The only thing is that you need to see how the fringe players would fit into 'the team'. If you have a complete 2nd 11 playing you dont find out how they fit, you just find out about the players attributes, which Capello should know anyway from the season of footy we've just had."that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

Fair point, that.Originally posted by BillobShaisley View PostThe only thing is that you need to see how the fringe players would fit into 'the team'. Your England 23
Sat here with a few mates. This is what we came up with:
GK:
Hart, James, Green
Defenders:
Cole, Baines, G Johnson, Terry, Carragher, Dawson, Ferdinand, King
Midfielders:
Milner, Lampard, Gerrard, Barry (Parker if Barry injured), Lennon, J Cole, A Johnson, Walcott
Forwards:
Rooney, Crouch, Defoe, Bent
Anyone have anything different?“…Slip like Freudian, your first and last step to playing yourself like accordion.”

I'd still be surprised if Carrick didn't go..
but he should count himself lucky Hargreaves isn't fully fit and there's question marks over Barry's fitness.
Can't see Baines or Warnock going. Surely Asshole Cole won't have any more bad luck with injuries, besides Carra can fill in at left back.
I see a few of you have left Heskey out but again i can't see Capello not taking him after including him in all his qualifying squads.

In fairness Green hasn't done a lot wrong in an England shirt.Originally posted by Mike View PostI know Hart should be #1 keeper but i doubt he'll start in the world cup.
His performance the other night will have done his chances no harm either.
I think he'll be Number 1 come to the World Cup.
There's a case for all three keepers but i just think Green will edge it.
