Look beyond the Christmas tree formation man, it''s arguably England's best eleven players.

I'd love to see how it would work.

As i say it might leave the defence vulnerable but Milner has a great engine and can help Barry out...
Gerrard and Lampard are also capable of helping out defensively if needs must.

There's no width there at all.

          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

                  Johnson ---------- King --------- Terry ---- Cole

On paper at least that's packed with flair and quality... Maybe vulnerable defensively but tbf they're playing 2nd rate oppisition
and should sail through to the last 16.

                  What's everyone think?
i hope to Fowler you lot keep thinking that, has arrogance ever got the english any trophies?

you have a team that should easily beat anyone from group C, but you also have a team that can easily **** things up if it starts to think it's better than everyone.

Cappello won't let that get in the players minds though, at least i think he'll try his best, which is why i think you lot will at least get to the qtrs, and from then on, it's a matter of luck for any team concerned

To be fair Broner/Marky is Irish.

I'm not convinced our team/squad is all that balanced and we certainly have too many stupid/arrogant players.

I think Capello gets frustrated with that in our squad. The tales of how pissed of he got at half time in the recent friendly implied that a lot of the players aren't as determined to keep doing what he says as they make out in the interviews they give.

I agree Dave, its quite obvious this team i believe dont have the heart and desire to go all the way and Cappello sees that. they have a tremondous sense of there own worth i imagine they would be the highest earning squad in the World Cup, and not sure winning a world cup means as much to them as it does others

Talksport really is ****e. I wouldn't believe anything on there.

Although I suppose they would know all about language problems. Half of them can't even string a coherent sentence together.

Your lads will put men behind the ball and try to stifle the life out of England - so i cant see there being that many goals.

1-0 or 2-0 to England at most IMO.

I think they might do us..we plod far too much, it's a bit like watching Liverpool at times. They could quite easily pull off a shock like the Spain final, just hit us on the break
