aye - it's worked out well too, - so far there is only the last group for england that i would need to book off work - the other two games falling on a Fri/Sat nights - so to the pub for lots of drinking.

Plus - although the tv schedule is not done yet for the next rounds (it doesn't get down until the bbc decides what games they want haha) - Englands potential fixtures fall like so (if i have worked out correct)

        Win Group C
        2nd round - Sat 26th June 8:30pm
        Qtr final - Fri 2nd July 8:30pm
        Semi final - Tues 6th July 8:30pm
        Final - Sun 11th July 8:30pm

        Runners Up Group C
        2nd round - Sun 27th June 4pm
        Qtr final - Sat 3rd July 4pm
        Semi final - Weds 7th July 8:30pm
        Final - Sun 11th July 8:30pm

So i reckon - for me too be able to go the pub, get a good spec and get bladdered without worrying about work the next day - at most I only need to book 4 days off work

                  At the same wedding FFS!

                  Absolute schoolboy error.

Wedding at 2/3pm or summat so they'll be a reception afterwards then an official evening do later. Surely they wont notice if i slope off for a couple of hours?

                    - one of my mates got married up newcastle way when we were playing west ham at home early on in the season (few years back, danny agger screamer)

On the sly i mentioned it too one of my mates the night before.....only one though The plan was to be at the church quite early (even though we were still drinking haha), make ourselves visible to all around - hello to families, friends etc - look keen and interested - float near the entrance to the church, go in before everyone else and take a seat/stand near the back so everyone see's us as they start coming in........keep away from the other mates, don't let them know whats happening, wait for the bride to come down the ailse, passing us first - whilst everyones attention is diverted to the bride at the front of the church - ****ing make a break for it out the door, over the road, round the corner and into a pub we located before hand!!!

it went perfectly - i hatched the idea, and it's very important who you pick to tell and why.....i was planning on doing it on my own, until another red mentioned he was pissed off about missing the game and i brought him on board. We didn't tell anyone else for a few reasons -

                    1) They would have wanted to do the same
                    2) there is no way we could all do it....
                    3) knowing my mates, if they realised 1 or 2 of us had hatched a plan, and they wanted in they would threaten the whole operation and ruin it for all of us if we didn't let them
                    4) to justify it too ourselves for not including anyone else - we agreed that if they were more concerned with the footie than the wedding they would have hatched their own plan!

So we did it - all went to plan out we go, straight into this pub in our suits with crazy flowers sticking out the pockets etc.

haha, it was a little old mans pub with 3 or 4 old arse locals in there who **** themselves wehn we came bursting in - we ended up sitting there having a good laugh with these fellas whilst watching the match. -

About 10 mins before time - we here a bit of a noise and about 10 of our mates come rushing through the door - haha they had been at the service and right at the end made a run for it to catch the last ten mins thinking they were clever.

You should have seen there faces when they saw us 2 in the corner, with the locals, pissed, with loads of empty glasses round us

Noone had realised we left - and because we made ourselves visual early doors - everyone else at the wedding were convinced we were there all the time

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
