    Player suspended after voting BNP

Wayne Brown suspended by Foxes after BNP vote row

Leicester defender Wayne Brown has been forced into making a grovelling apology - after voting BNP at the General Election.

Brown was suspended by the Foxes for their play-off games with Cardiff following a stormy row with team-mate Lloyd Dyer and coach Chris Powell.

The 32-year-old revealed he had voted for BNP last week and was involved in a heated clash with Dyer after training.

And former England international Powell also confronted Brown before team-mates pulled them apart.

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson took swift action by suspending the centre-half for the two legs against the Bluebirds.

And Brown was hauled in for a meeting after Wednesday’s agonising defeat and told to apologise to the squad.

But the former Hull and Colchester star is still facing an uncertain future at the Walkers Stadium, with one year left on his contract.

A Leicester source said: "There was a discussion and Wayne let slip his political views.

"Obviously one or two people were offended by that and in the best interests of everybody concerned he’s been asked to apologise for any offence he may have caused."

Pearson has called on his Foxes to recover from their Cardiff heartbreak and ensure there is no hangover for next season.

Leicester came within a whisker of reaching Wembley after Yann Kermorgant and Martyn Waghorn’s penalties were saved by David Marshall.

But Pearson insists that agony should not detract from an excellent season, just 12 months after lifting the League One title.

He said: “It is important that by the time they leave the training ground for the summer that if they have anything to say to each other, they need to say it.

“Everyone needs to recharge mentally as much as anything, and we need to make sure there is no hangover from this experience when we reconvene in July.

“When you have a disappointment it is how you deal with it that defines whether you can go on and be a success.

“Historically, we have seen clubs who have been relegated or have faced situations similar to this and not recovered from it.

“Our first challenge is to put this into perspective and build on it.”

Dyer and Powell are both black aren't they? Id assume he was suspended for comments he's made at training rather than for which box he ticked at the voting booth. If you follow the BNP's belief in having a white britain then I doubt it's going to down well with his black teammates

Looking again at Yann Kermorgant's penalty in the shoot out, I'd probably have voted BNP too if I were a Leicester fan.

I'd imagine that must be the case, isn't it against the law to suspend or sack someone over their political beliefs?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The Mail (I know) reported this:

Revealed: What BNP supporter Wayne Brown said to enrage his Leicester team-mates

A racially abusive outburst in the Leicester dressing room, has surely ended Wayne Brown's career at the club, and leaves him waiting to see whether he has a future in the English game.

Contrary to reports earlier in the week, it was not merely Brown's boast that he voted for the BNP at the General Election which enraged his team mates, but the language and terms he used while doing so.

Having returned to the dressing room after training, a discussion was taking place between a group of players about the election results. Brown first told a stunned, racially mixed group of players that he had voted for the BNP, and was met with a volley of protest.

Rather than diffusing the situation, the Barkingborn player, where BNP leader Nick Griffin was wiped-out in the election by Margaret Hodge, and the party lost all its council seats, launched into an attack on "****ing ragheads and Asians" who he claimed were "killing this country."

The reaction was furious and several players pointed out that, not only were Brown's phrases and views unacceptable, but that he had Asian, black and mixed-race colleagues.

The argument spilled over into a treatment room, before a senior player intervened, told Brown that his views and language were unacceptable.

Seemingly unconcerned at what he had said, Brown went to the canteen to have lunch before, faced with a squad united in their condemnation of him, Brown departed, for what is certain to be the last time.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson suspended him for the play-off semi finals, and has made clear privately he no longer wishes Brown to be a part of his squad.
If true...what a cunt. Typical bone-headed ignorance. He looks a right cunt too.

Wayne Lawrence Brown (born 20 August 1977 in Barking, England) is an English footballer, currently playing for Leicester City, and renowned white supremacist. He is a member both of the British National Party and the militant wing of the BNP, the English Defence League.
Brown started his career as a right-wing militant, making 40 riot appearances for the EDL and killing once against the UAF. He had loan spells at various right-wing leagues across Europe before leaving the EDL in December 2002, signing for Watford after a loan spell...
On 15 March 2010, it was revealed that Brown was under investigation by the club following an alleged training ground bust-up over the outcome of the UK General Election[10] after Brown revealed he had voted for the British National Party. Brown is a self-proclaimed BNP fanatic. He has expressed his distaste for foreign races on a number of occasions, which has resulted in several disputes with team mates, most notably with Leicester team mate Danny N'guessan. This resulted in Wayne Brown suffering a broken penis. Brown on the incident : " It was nothing, if some dirty c**n wants to challenge me, I accept. They shouldn't be in this country, and if the BNP were in power, all of them and their dirty long penis's would be kicked out for good". Brown has a tattoo of Nick Griffin on the underside of her scrotum, Hitler on the inside of his buttock, a swastika on his tongue, and a 5:1 scale tattoo of Azmir Begovic on his back, for unrelated religious reasons.
