Although oddly all pundits in this country seem to think the work ethic was given to him by Mourinho. I always thought he worked pretty selflessly as part of the Barcelona machine too.

He did, no question. Although I've never seen him play as he did on Saturday. I had a bet - 2-0 to Inter and Eto'o to score the first goal. It was a toss up between Eto'o and Milito but went for the bigger price. Anyway, I watched Eto'o everywhere he went and it was incredible. For corners he didn't even stand in the box (stood in a sort of inside right position about 35 yards from goal), for crosses coming in from the left he didn't get into the box (he did it once during the game) and for the most part was behind Maicon when Inter had the ball. Bizarre. Effective, but ****ing negative. It made Dirk look like a rampaging right winger with no defensive responsibilities at all.

Fair play to Mourinho - one thing about him which is unarguable is he gets his squad - seemingly every player to a man - wanting to play for him. To see Eto'o sacrifice himself like that was fairly amazing really.

After I posted the Aquilani first scorer (against Atletico 2nd leg I think?) as a 'Duncan tip' and it came in I thought I'd see if it worked again.

Eto'o just had a yr left and was refusing to sign a new contract. So they've cut their losses.

That's a new one on me, Hleb was originally part of the deal as a 12 month loan but he didn't want to go to Inter, so Barca had to pay Inter a few more million for the deal to happen.
