I have seen him linked to A. Cole, Gerrard, Lampard, Essien and Maicon, think I have even seen Sneidjer and Milito mentioned. He has said that he likes Gerrard and Lampard and that he prefers to work with mature players
I wonder what will happen to players like Alonso, Marcelo, Gago, VDV and Diarra with the arrival of Jose. If he goes out to buy one or both of Lampard and Gerrard then surely Kaka's place is under threat?* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

"I prefer to work with mature players"
i.e.
"I have no interest in building a football club, an academy, or developing young players - I just want to win a few trophies and then **** off again, leaving a load of thirty-somethings behind"

I'm distraught that we have a club which may or may not continue as a going concern. I'm distraught that we have a manager who will never be able to win the PL title. I'm distraught that our top striker refuses to commit to the club.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostCraig H is going to be distraught.
This pales into insignificance, despite your obviously hilarious post.

That's completely different to what I was saying. He's short-termist, he doesn't build football clubs, like Wenger and Ferguson have and like Benitez is trying to do with us. Mourinho has no interest in that, rightly or wrongly. His record is fantastic but like I said it's all short-term stuff, buying 30 year olds for millions of pounds and then ****ing off when they're about 32.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Well it's more expensive and probably easier when you have good quality players with experience but he is doing a very good job so far - although the managers who succeed him are not guaranteed the same success with an aging team. It will be a challenge for him next season, that's for sure, I for one hope he fails though.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post"I prefer to work with mature players"

MO? Modus operandi?Originally posted by Craig_H View PostYeah, that's clearly his MO....but i just dont see what's wrong with it, if that's how he prefers to do things.
Yeah like I said...rightly or wrongly. Personally I don't like it very much. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
