german team have so many senior players in bad form and young kids in good form, it will be interesting to see what happens because quite regularly the players wont turn up all season from their club and all of a sudden then play for Germany and they score for fun... lets not forget German still have some players who are one of the finest in the world for their position.. Phllip Lahm, to an extent Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mezut Ozil will one day be one of the best in the world...

Sorry fernandinho but my money is on Germany against Ozzies. Balack is big loss for them in terms of leadership but Bastian, Gomes, Podolski and Ozil are imo good enough to defeat down under. I don't think they are good enough to good all the way though.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

haha yeah I know, as soon as the draw was taken all i could say was "i cant wait till 2014"... but we do prosper as underdogs, we got through a group with brazil and croatia last world cup, but we had a better team back then as well.. this years team is last world cup four years older.... average age of the starting 11 is probably 31
edit:the average age is 31.45.... and if u exclude one player who is 28 then the average age is nearly 32... far too old for a world cup team especially without the quality of most othersLast edited by Fernandinho; 08-06-10, 03:47 AM.96 Never Forgotten
