that is so stupid... hold a world cup in South Africa when most of the population cant even afford tickets.... i think that maybe fifa should have reduced prices for SA locals somehow, especially when seats are so readily available in games like this, it doesnt look good when our premier showcase event isnt selling out for every match tooOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostThey're gonna be too expensive for most of the locals.96 Never Forgotten

Oh, they DID offer SA residents tickets at cheaper prices.
Still too expensive for many though, no doubt.
Bear in mind tickets will be about £60 at the cheapest i think, so even if they're half price for locals, £30 for someone out there could still be a lot of money. Especially if they want to go with their kids or whatever.

And FIFA spending so long with "Visa cards are the only way to possibly get tickets" policy. Money more important than the game.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThey're gonna be too expensive for most of the locals.

Yeah but they started selling them at various retail outlets in SA a while ago too, surely they would've taken cash at those vendors.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostAnd FIFA spending so long with "Visa cards are the only way to possibly get tickets" policy. Yeah, they would, but it took them ages to get that, they all had massive queues for them, but as you said, they are still expensive. My tickets in 06 were €100 each.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostYeah but they started selling them at various retail outlets in SA a while ago too, surely they would've taken cash at those vendors.

Are you mad, man?

I know, better to have an half empty stadium!
I think that a lot would also not be able to get off work to go I suppose, could have given the tickets to schools at least.
