The Italian team is just **** poor isn't it? To old and to little to offer going forward now. All credit to the kiwis for the fight they put up, but still...

I agree but it was TOTALLY within the rules of the game. They changed the rules straight after though.
YouTube- Most disgraceful moment in the history of cricketMe, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I agree. Greg Chappell, the captain, forcing his brother Trevor to do it too. UnforgivableOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostYep...and TOTALLY against the spirit of the game.
They shouldn't need to have a rule to decree you can't bowl underarm FFS

Haha, I have a lot of kiwi friends (and know many more whom aren't friends) and they have incredible small country syndrome so every minor thing is a really big deal to them. So they take any opportunity to talk themselves up and they'll moan about everything against them as being a major injustice. In their heads they were better than Italy by a mile and should have won comfortably. As i didn't watch it, not sure if Richie Bernard's rant is on that video, but it's so hilarious how he goes off his nut in the post game review.
SB, I had heard that the Australians were quite accepting of NZ's not getting belted, not sure but there was something in one of their papers which said "Australiasia 1 - 1 Slovakia" or something. Around a year ago I lived in Australia for around a year and they seemed to really take the piss out of kiwi's so I was a bit surprised of this ownership.
Hopefully they get knocked out though, I like underdogs but NZ's team is too **** to want to see go further. I don't actually think Italy is in such a crisis. If you look at them, I know it was against a poor team but they had quite a few very good chances, they struck the post and the keeper made some excellent saves. On a different day the goal they conceded would have been given offside and they would have scored 2 or 3. I'd be surprised if they don't qualify, they have a good team but they're just stumbling currently.

I think we took part of the praise in that we let them play in our A League competition which helps their players heaps. Smeltz plays in my GC United side and I was hoping he wouldn't have too good a showing at the WC as I'm worried some bigger Club ( hard to imagine a bigger club than GCU ) will come in for him.Originally posted by Zapater View PostHaha, I have a lot of kiwi friends (and know many more whom aren't friends) and they have incredible small country syndrome so every minor thing is a really big deal to them.
