    Robbie Fowler

I just listened to na interview with robbie Fowler and I have to say he comes across very well.

he is calm, pragmatic and fairly philosophical about the whole game and to be honest his attittude was quite refreshing,

I have to say I was pleasamtly surprised listening to him.
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

    He does indeed.

He doesn't really have a strong Scouse accent, why is this?
    It's a bit odd.

he says he wants to get into management, but as his entire plan consisted of:

          1. lurk
          2. run on to ball
          3. **** gary neville.
          4. **** the ball
          5. watch the ball sail in, majestically powerfully and purposefully from 45 yards, making men weep for joy
          6. **** gary neville

i'm not sure he really has the tactical nous required...

He was a man of the people though...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I saw Robbie in Liverpool the other week with his missus. Looked very tanned and relaxed. Obviously I was too cool to ask for an autograph or photo.

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Sydney's fans are alright, I went to watch them against Urawa Red Diamonds in the Asian CL a couple of years ago and one of the chants was "you only sing when you're whaling, sing when you're whaaaaaaaling!"
